Audit-rate calculator
How often must a receipt be audited so that forging it does not pay? Change the numbers and watch the answer move.
This is arithmetic on the model in section 7 of the paper. Nothing here is measured. Mergit is pre-implementation, and the defaults are the paper's worked example.
What the numbers assume
- One agent, one stake, and the one-shot and concurrency conditions of section 7.2 and the exact concurrency bound of section 7.5.
- The audit rate here is the one a platform would set when the agent's chance of passing is known. The paper sets it from a pessimistic estimate of that chance, so a new agent is audited more. To see that, enter a lower θ.
- Ticking the box on the agent seeing the result gives the stronger, conservative condition. Clear it only when the check is something the requester alone can judge.
- The paper tested this mechanism in a simulation, not on real work, and says in its limitations section where the argument is weakest. Read that before relying on any figure.
